Bake It Forward Program
Bake It Forward is Shir Hadash’s social impact initiative, channeling kindness and justice through the sacred act of baking. Rooted in Jewish values of hesed (loving-kindness) and tzedek (justice), young adults bake together and deliver homemade goods to those in need. Each gathering includes a moment of reflection or learning tied to Jewish tradition and social change. By combining creativity, community, and care, Bake It Forward offers a joyful and purposeful path to meaningful action

Shir Hadash’s Adult Education pillar nurtures spiritual depth, intellectual curiosity, and meaningful conversation among young Jewish adults. Rooted in lifelong learning (talmud torah), it offers inclusive gatherings from text studies to creative salons exploring Judaism, identity, and modern life. Sessions are accessible to all, weaving together Jewish wisdom on justice, ethics, mindfulness, and more. In a fast-paced world, this pillar creates space to pause, reflect, and chart a thoughtful path forward.
Sacred Time, Shared Space: Social Gatherings at Shir Hadash
The Social Gatherings pillar of Shir Hadash believes Jewish life flourishes through community, hospitality, and joy. Centered on welcoming Shabbat dinners and holiday events, it blends tradition with creativity, bringing people together over ritual, music, great food, and conversation. Highlights include a mystical Lag B’Omer bonfire and an inclusive Passover Seder designed for young adults. Through these gatherings, Shir Hadash transforms holidays into gateways for lasting connection and belonging.
