Dear CJE Families,
Our goal is to provide a place where children feel safe and take pride in their Jewish identity. We strive to make everyone comfortable and excited about Israel and Judaism, and we take pride in creating an environment where everyone feels part of the Jewish community. We have a strong, compassionate faculty dedicated to the well-being of your children and the development of Jewish minds and souls.
We appreciate your support in our efforts to give your children the best possible Jewish education and we look forward to working together. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.

MISSION STATEMENT/GOALS OF THE HEBREW SCHOOL
The mission of the Center for Jewish Education at Congregation Shirat Hayam is to engage children and families in Jewish life and learning.
The CSH Hebrew School seeks to contribute to the formation of a positive Jewish identity within each child by imparting Jewish values, knowledge and skills and by fostering a love of Israel and the Jewish people. CJE comprises a learning community that strives to be inclusive, warm and affirming.
The goal of our Judaic curriculum is to promote a positive Jewish identity through the study of Jewish beliefs, ideals and history, and the performance of Mitzvot. Our goal is to have students think and act in a Jewish way. Shabbat is part of our core educational experience where Torah comes alive as both the text and context for learning. The Hebrew curriculum includes a Siddur program, designed to enable students to become proficient in reading the Hebrew prayers, to gain an understanding of both the prayers and the service and to be comfortable in any synagogue.
