Chesed

"As long as you're breathing, it's never too late to do some good.”

The Chesed Committee invites you to participate, whether you are in need or able to lend a helping hand.  Make others feel good and see how great it makes you feel!

Our ‘Reach Out’  program is to assist in emergency situations with meals, rides to medical appointments, child care, attend a Shiva minyan, food shopping, errands, lend a hand to new parents, celebrate with new homeowners,  and help where help is needed.

Our ‘Reach In’ program is to bring our members what they need on a more on-going basis such as a phone call to check in, a visit, a cup of tea, a meal, a ride to services, welcome to new members, or extend some 'radical hospitality.'

As the saying goes, many hands make light work.  Each of the opportunities to extend ‘Chesed’ (loving kindness) could take as little as five minutes for a phone call or more extended time to prepare and deliver a meal.

Please contact Chesed Chairperson, Nancy Sarles if you would like to help or if you need assistance.

Thank you.
